Denise Silva

aka Pear Mama

2024

In this episode of QT Life, I spoke with Denise Silva —an artist, mother, and cultural storyteller whose work weaves together themes of ancestry, mysticism, and healing. Born in East Los Angeles and raised in Riverside, Denise reflects on her creative path and how motherhood, spirituality, and her indigenous heritage inform her art. This conversation, produced for rpya.health, celebrates the strength and wisdom of queer and trans community leaders whose stories embody resilience and cultural continuity.

Meet the Community

Meet the Community is an interview series I produced and hosted with rpya.health to highlight LGBTQ+ leaders, artists, and advocates.

Each conversation offers a personal window into how creativity, scholarship, and community care intersect—showing that advocacy takes many forms, from art and education to mentorship and storytelling.
