In the newly formed world, Quetzalcóatl descended into Mictlan to recover the sacred bones of the ancestors. Mixing them with his own blood, he shaped the first humans and taught them agriculture, writing, and the arts—a reminder that human life is born of sacrifice, bound to the cycles of nature, and connected to the divine.
