Order Born from Chaos
Before the world, there was only a dark, primordial ocean in whose waters swam a chaos monster, Cipactli. When the gods divided her body, they created the sky, earth, waters, and the four directions. From her sacrifice, the Earth Mother was born—a reminder that life emerges through struggle, and that harmony is shaped by the balance of opposites.
